Topo Report

The Topographic report

The Topographic report, “the Topo”, records the height from a flat surface to the floor, and represents that data with a heatmap. Usually, red is used to indicate lower areas of the floor and green higher areas

Wall Report

The Wall Profile report

Soil pressure can move basement walls impacting the foundation, sometimes severely. Three common types of basement wall movement are shown in the diagrams. The Wall Profile report records the shape of the wall and shows it in a heatmap.

Vertical Report

The Vertical Report

Cracks in walls, sticking windows and doors are indications that the foundation has shifted. The Vertical Report Example House has a typical stair-step crack starting in the cinder block wall, extending into the brick work, stopping in the lower corner of the window and starting again at the upper corner. This example has a symmetric crack on the far side wall. Both the vertical and the topo report can be used to diagnose the issue. The Vertical Report is considered in this section.
